Fall 2019 chapter events
October 20, 2019
During October our chapters held interesting events. Here are two of them.
Fiftieth Anniversary of Greater Seattle
Greater Seattle Chapter 99s celebrated their anniversary at the Museum of Flight in their View Lounge on October 12. A great speaker, chapter member Bev Fogle, talked about the Friendship Flight she made from Alaska to Siberia, Russia in 1995.
There was also a great silent and live auction with chapter member Sandy Sullivan as the auctioneer and a nice turnout of about 50 “old” and new members to celebrate!
We will have many great memories and we had lots of photo albums, newsletters, and so on for folks to look at. Please see more photos on the Northwest Ninety-Nines Facebook page! Our party planning committee did an outstanding job.

Mt. Tahoma / Girl Scout event
Mt. Tahoma chapter provided an introduction to aviation to age ten and under girl scouts at Olympia Airport on October 16. Members of the Ninety-Nines shared their interest in aviation at an early age. Many had been girl scouts. Scouts were given a tour of the outside and inside of an airplane, had a paper airplane contest, and were given a cockpit wall chart explaining the different instruments. Refreshments followed. The scouts were thrilled.
